It draws around 24W on average, with headroom up to 100W for the Mini's peak demands like booting up or heavy weather. That's a fraction of what an inverter setup wastes doing the same job.
No, it only draws what the Mini needs. At roughly 24W average, a 100Ah lithium battery will run a Starlink Mini for well over a day. AGM batteries won't stretch as far, since you can only safely use around half their capacity, so expect noticeably less runtime. If hardwiring to your vehicle's main battery, an isolation switch is a necessity.
The power supply itself is rated IP68. As long as you do a decent job wiring it up, its all happy days, throw anything at it!
Easy! If you can connect two wires to a battery, you can install this. The booster comes with a pre-wired 10A fuse and 2.5m of UV-resistant cable, so it's just red to positive, black to negative, then route the DC plug to your Mini. No cutting into your Starlink cable, no configuration. Most installs take under 30 minutes.
Yes, as long as it has a 12V DC output, you're good. The booster accepts anything from 9–16V, so a power station's direct 12v output or a battery box's Anderson plug will run it no problem. If your battery box has Anderson outputs, grab the Anderson Style version of this booster and it's literally plug in and go, no wiring at all. Just don't run it off the power station's AC outlet through an inverter; that wastes battery for no reason when the 12V output does the job directly.
