I have tried Starlink Mini today, in a location where Telstra was not available. The 12v Starlink Mini Plug worked well with the Starlink Mini. I could watch a Netflix movie on mi iPad and even make a phone call with my iPhone, thanks to the function Wi-Fi Calling available in the settings of my iPhone. This will be great in case of a problem in a remote location, to call Triple Zero or RAC (or another help provider), when Telstra is not available.

The one we reach for on our own installs
We fit a lot of Starlink Minis for customers and we have tried most of the 12V power options on the market. Plenty of them work on the bench. Fewer keep working after a few thousand kilometres of corrugations, heat and red dust. This is the one we reach for on our installs that want portability.
It takes anything from 10 to 28 volts and hands the Mini a clean 30 volts, so it runs off 12V or 24V systems without an inverter and does not drop out when the fridge or compressor kicks in. The IP67 anodised aluminium body and dust cap mean we can mount it outside the cabin without a second thought, and the built-in polarity, under-voltage, over-voltage and thermal protection covers the stuff that kills the cheap units, and Starlink's own.
For the customer it is a cig plug, a switch and no-fuss Starlink power. Nothing to configure, nothing to wire, and the switch means they can reboot the Mini without pulling plugs.

No, unless you add one. You use the original 15m cable that came with your Starlink Mini. It pulls out of the AC power brick and plugs in here. We've field-tested this adapter with the full 15m length so there are no compatibility doubts. Want a tidier run? We stock shorter replacement cables from 0.2m up.
No. The boosting is built in. As your battery voltage rises and falls through the day, the adapter holds a steady 30V to your Mini, so you don't get the under-voltage dropouts that plague straight 12V setups.
It draws around 22W on average, with headroom up to 120W for the Mini's peak demands like booting up or heavy weather. That's a fraction of what an inverter setup wastes doing the same job.
No. It only draws what the Mini needs, and the on/off switch cuts power in seconds without unplugging anything. At roughly 22W average, a 100Ah lithium battery will run a Starlink Mini for well over a day. AGM batteries won't stretch as far since you can only safely use around half their capacity, so expect noticeably less runtime.
The power supply itself is rated IP67 and comes with a dust cap to seal it when not in use. The cable joins are sealed when connected. The cigarette plug on the end is not waterproof, so keep that side inside the vehicle or somewhere dry.
There's no install as such. Plug it into your 12V socket, connect your Starlink Mini cable, flick the switch and go. No tools needed. If you want it mounted permanently, a stainless steel bracket and screws are included.
Yes. If your power station or battery box has a 12V cigarette socket, this plugs straight in, making it an easy portable Starlink setup for camping, worksites or emergencies.

This version is built around the cig plug for true plug-and-play use. If you want a permanent wired install, go for the Anderson plug version of this unit, or step up to the K2 Pro for a fully mounted setup with wireless remote switching.
This unit has a manual switch on the body. If you want to switch Starlink from bed or the camp chair, add our Starlink Mini Inline Remote, or look at the K2 Pro which includes two wireless key fobs out of the box.
This is the simplest way to get boosted 30V power to your Mini: plug into a cig socket and go. The K2 Pro is the step up for permanent installs, with Anderson and cig inputs, wireless remote on/off from up to 25m, and a mounted aluminium housing. Same stable 30V output either way.
