Will this work with my Starlink Mini?
Yes. It's purpose-built for the Starlink Mini and outputs exactly 30V, the same spec Starlink recommends. No tinkering or guesswork, just plug it in and you're online.
Does it come with the Starlink cable?
No. You use the original 15m cable that came with your Starlink Mini. We've field-tested this adapter with the full 15m length so there are no compatibility doubts. If you want a shorter run, we stock shorter cable options separately.
Do I need a separate voltage booster?
No. The boosting is built in. As your battery voltage rises and falls through the day, the adapter holds 30V to your Mini so you don't get under-voltage dropouts or over-voltage issues.
Is the whole thing waterproof?
The power supply itself is rated IP67 and comes with a dust cap to seal it when not in use. Worth noting the cigarette plug on the end is not waterproof, so keep that side inside the vehicle or somewhere dry.
How hard is it to install?
There's no install as such. Plug it into your 12V socket, connect your Starlink Mini cable, flick the switch and go. No tools needed. If you want it mounted permanently, a stainless steel bracket and screws are included.
Can I hardwire it instead of using the cigarette socket?
The kit is built around the included 12V cigarette plug for true plug-and-play use. If you'd prefer a hardwired setup, get in touch and we'll point you to the right option for your build. Maybe the Ando version or our K2 unit.
Will it drain my battery quickly?
It's designed to be compact and efficient, drawing only what the Mini needs. The on/off switch lets you cut power in seconds without unplugging anything, so it's not pulling current when you're not using it.
