Plug the male end into your DC feed and you've got two female outputs. Run the Mini off one and something else off the other, with waterproof connections and 18AWG cable doing the work.
Great for tidy builds where you'd rather not add another fuse and run another cable just for one more device.
Know the limits. Both devices share the one feed, so make sure it can supply enough for both. The Mini needs a strong, steady supply. If yours sags, put a booster in front of it.
